About Us

Together in Mission

TiM was born in 2007 out of a concern of local Christians to become more involved in their local communities.

Although a Christian charity, we work for the benefit of all, regardless of background, faith, or ethnicity.

TiM Friends

TiM has focused on providing support to vulnerable and isolated adults in the community through TiM Friends – often the people we serve are older members of our communities but we provide support to people of all ages and across a wide spectrum of needs.

Our volunteers create friendships that often last years and are vital in providing isolated members of our communities with regular personal contact.

Some testimonies from our clients

“I look forward to the visit from my volunteer every week. She is so helpful and will take me out which I really appreciate.

If I didn’t have her to visit, I’d be lost.

I would recommend anyone to have a volunteer” – Shirley

Just like to say how much Val’s visits mean to Betty.  Val goes well and above and makes Betty feel better.  Although Betty has family a visit from Val is brilliant as she can share her news. When Betty has had to spend time in hospital and due to covid visits where difficult Val went out of her way to visit when possible

this was even more appreciated.  If no visit could be made, then Val would always phone for a chat. Betty’s family would also like to say how we appreciate all you do for Betty.

you really are a god send – From the daughter of a client

Café B

TiM runs a community café, Café B, which runs several times a week out of Burghfield Methodist church hall. Café B provides a friendly and welcoming place for the entire community to meet and sells simple, tasty food at decent prices. Café B has also operated as a warm hub during the winter and supported local food bank initiatives.

Other activities

TiM runs community carol services at Christmas and lunches for the elderly during the year and regularly provides volunteers at local community events such as the Burghfield May Fayre, the Mortimer Fun Day and the Sulhamstead Fete.
